by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA)
Brownfields
Assessment
Pilot Program in the Cities of Taunton and Brockton,
Massachusetts, and United States Dept of Commerce (U.S. DOC)
in New Bedford, Massachusetts.
Arista
is working in these communities to identify environmental conditions
and timely, cost-effective cleanup strategies that will attract
redevelopment and new business in Brownfields
located in vital economic corridors. All projects are complete
through Phase II environment assessment.
Arista
is also working with the real estate industry, financial institutions,
the legal community, environmental professionals, and government
entities to provide assistance to our clients to access state
and federal funding sources, environmental insurance products,
evaluations on land acquisition, development strategies, and
streamlined cleanup approaches.

Arista
is also engaged in other environmental projects involving wetlands
restoration, water management, risk assessment of hazardous
substances found at contaminated sites, and assessment of landfill
contaminant migration.
Arista's
founder, Dr. Andrea Papadopoulos, Ph.D., has 16 years of experience
in government service and the private sector in the environmental
and public health arena. A scientist and former senior manager
at the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection
(DEP), she has knowledge of environmental and health science
policy and regulations. She has successfully managed high-profile
projects with complex issues and is a strong advocate on behalf
of her clients.

Her
work in the Brownfield arena for the City of Taunton has received
national recognition. She is a presenter at the Brownfields
2001 Conference in Chicago, Illinois.
She
has a proven record in numerous technical disciplines and project
areas includes public and private sector environmental/public
health projects and development of the first inventory of Brownfields
properties in Southeastern Massachusetts.
Dr.
Papadopoulos has worked effectively with local, state and federal
government officials; business; and the public to advance top
priority environmental and public health concerns. Three Massachusetts
Governors and the Massachusetts House of Representatives have
commended Dr. Papadopoulos for her achievements and service.
She is active in New England's environmental community as member
of the Board of Directors for the New England Environmental
Business Council (EBC), Licensed Site Professional Association
(LSPA), Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS), and MetroSouth
Chamber of Commerce.
